So here's whats happening...
I had noticed that after I racked my apple wine for the first time that the fermentation stopped. Obviously this isn't supposed to happen until all of the sugar has been used up so I knew something was wrong. Did some research on stuck fermentation and ended up making a "starter" which is supposed to kick the fermentation back into action. Well I am happy to say that it worked and I've got the bubbles back again. I would've hated to have to dump 5 potential gallons of wine!
Also...
I've got a good amount (5 gal) of various wines now aging in the cellar, and another 10 gallons actively fermenting. Very exciting. By next year there will be a good amount ready for drinking!
Vineyard-
So for vines I now have 2 Frontenac, 2 Cabernet Franc, and 2 Traminette at my house. At the Pippin Orchard site I have 2 Cabernet Sauvignon and 3 Marechal Foch. I'm hoping in 2 years or so I'll get a small but decent enough yield to make some grape wines.
Thats all for now!
