A weekend of bottling!

So this weekend brought some much needed chores being done around the house and some bottling as well.

I had two gallons of pear wine aging in the cellar that I made from pears grown on my parent's property and I figured it was a good time to bottle them.  They had both cleared nicely and had fantastic color.  Interestingly enough, even though they were all made from the same type of pear, each separate gallon had very different color.  One had a very deep gold/reddish color while the other was pale yellow.  Each had a slightly different taste as well and both had a great aroma of fresh cut pears.  These are both going to be a fantastic chilled wine and after a little more aging time in the bottle I think they're going to be quite enjoyable.
